I was browsing YouTube the other day and came across this impressive video of Nashville-based guitarist Rory Hoffman demoing the PRS Modern Eagle LTD guitar. Hoffman plays with a very unorthodox picking style, but he really rips. Check it out:

Man thats awesome! I thought he was going to play slide guitar when the video first started. That just goes to show that there is no “correct” way to play the guitar.
Yeah, Rory’s technique is certainly unorthodox, but his playing is phenomenal.
Josh…Thanks for bringing Rory to my list of fine guitarists. If a guitar can be played that good “that way”…then I need to get practicing asap to be half as good the conventional way. Rory is an insperation.
