When it comes to acoustic guitars, I have pretty simple tastes. I like small-bodied guitars and really like the way an all-mahogany acoustic sounds, which is why I bought a Martin 00-15M several years ago.
When I was searching for an acoustic, I played several small-bodied guitars, and one of my favorites was the made-in-China version of the Guild M20. However, I ended up buying the Martin because the M20 had been discontinued by the time I had decided to make the purchase.
Now, Guild has opened a factory in Oxnard, CA, and the first acoustics they’re producing in the plant are the all-mahogany M20 and the D20. The M20 is a concert-sized guitar, and the D20 is a dreadnought sized guitar.
Sweetwater caught up with Guild Product Manager Brandon Schmidt at the NAMM show to get more details on the new acoustics:

I am lucky enough to have just purchased a new M20 from Rocky street sounds in New York via Ebay. I live in the UK and as far as I know the Uk retail outlets are still waiting for delivery of the USA M20 and D20. I maybe one of the first guys to get one in the UK – cant wait 🙂

Hi guys, I got the guitar on 23.6.16. It’s a fantastic guitar well balanced sound with the hog folky overtones. Finish and playability is superb, love it
