Guitar-Techniques.com recently had the chance to ask Derek Trucks a few questions about his guitar playing and his gear. In the interview, he mentions that he doesn’t use any pedals; he just plugs straight into his amp and lets the tubes do the talking. He also discusses his favorite amp and how he sets it up for gigs:

weird that he didn’t mention his new PRS amp seeing as he is plastered over PRS’ homepage, he says in that promo video that he used it all over the new Derek Trucks Band album. Anyway very cool to hear there are still people who just plug in and let their guitar and amp do the talking.
